Do you prefer micro portable speakers? Or those portable speakers that are compact enough to be easily carried around with you all day? A micro portable wireless speaker that stands out is one of JBL’s lines of portable wireless speakers. This is the JBL Clip+ Splashproof Portable Bluetooth Speaker.
When we are around different places at a day and still loves music playing in our ears, a portable Bluetooth speaker that can be placed in our reach is a perfect choice. There are different micro portable Bluetooth speakers that can be bought in the stores but the JBL Clip+ portable Bluetooth speaker is one that you must pay your attention to.
The JBL Clip+ is the next version of the original JBL Clip micro portable Bluetooth speakers. Although it looks similar and sounds the same with the previous version, the JBL Clip+ has a bit of a change in it, it has got the plus in its feature, which is Splashproof. This means that this portable speaker from JBL can now be used while on the rain, in a trailing adventure, or even near the pool. You can use it without being worried of damaging it when water splashed on it but you should know though that you cannot submerge the JBL Clip+.
JBL Clip+ Splashproof Portable Bluetooth Speaker – Performance
Similar to the JBL Clip, the Clip+ has a very decent sound considering its size. It’s a micro portable Bluetooth speaker, which means that it is smaller than any other portable speakers out there but it still sounds pretty good. It has a loud sound that can fill a small room, or even a bedroom. Thanks to its 3.2W speaker that helps it deliver clear, crisp, and loud sound for a micro size.
If you’re asking for its bass performance, do not expect too much with it. There’s some bass to it but it is not as powerful as it is than any other portable wireless speakers out there. Consider though that the JBL Clip+ is a micro portable Bluetooth speaker, just tiny and compact.
The Clip+ by JBL has a notch on midrange and acoustics. We tried this portable Bluetooth speaker with Zedd’s “Beautiful Now” as well as Sam Smith’s “Lay Me Down” and we can say that the sound coming from the JBL Clip+ is enjoyable and still impressive.
How about its power? Well, just like any other micro portable Bluetooth speaker out there, the portable speaker by JBL can perform for up to a limited time. The JBL Clip+ has a rechargeable battery that can power itself up for 4-5 hours.
JBL Clip+ Splashproof Portable Bluetooth Speaker – Design
As mentioned a while back, the JBL Clip+ looks similar to its first version. It still has got that compact and lightweight (at 154 grams) design that is really great for bringing outdoors. This portable Bluetooth speaker is also available in different colors to suit your interest and personality.
The Clip+ is a micro portable wireless speaker that is a perfect companion for your smartphones and tablets. It is designed to be placed and laid flat on a surface like your table or it can also be attached to your bag or backpack by using its built-in carabiner style clip, which is also built in its previous version.
The plus in the JBL Clip+, and which is not designed with the first version, is its Splashproof feature. Now you can use this portable Bluetooth speaker on your trail in the woods or along the river, use it while raining, or bring it with you near the pool when you have that awesome pool party with your friends. As it is Splashproof, you should take note though that the JBL Clip+ is not waterproof. This means that you cannot totally submerge it in the water.
JBL Clip+ Splashproof Portable Bluetooth Speaker – Connectivity
The JBL Clip+ portable wireless speaker works with devices via Bluetooth. We tried connecting it with our Nexus 5 and the pairing was as smooth as it is like the previous version.
On the other hand, if you prefer using the JBL Clip+ through wired connections or you don’t have any Bluetooth enabled devices, you can still connect this portable speaker through its 3.5mm stereo input which is attached at the bottom of the speaker.
By the way, you can also use the JBL Clip+ as a speakerphone. This feature was not a fail at all. We really enjoyed connecting our device and use it as a speakerphone. The quality at both ends was really impressive and decent.
