Libratone Q Adapt Wireless Headphones
In the recent months, we have witnessed a lot of rumours about Apple having a major design change with regards to their new iPhone devices. Now that it has launched its new iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, we have now confirmed the rumour and yes, Apple has ditched the traditional 3.5mm audio jack to their devices.
Now that this giant tech company has made their move, manufacturers and other audio electronic companies has chosen to go with the flow and create their own versions of Apple’s AirPods. One who adapted to this change is Libratone.
Libratone is famously known for its awesome wireless speakers, the Libratone Zipp and Libratone Zipp Mini. Aside from creating good-looking, good-sounding portable speakers, Libratone also manufactures wireless headphones. In order to adapt to the new trend and provide an alternative for the AirPods, the Libratone Q Adapt headphones now enters the market.
What makes this on-ear headphones a great alternative for Apple’s AirPods? Since Apple has ditched their traditional 3.5mm headphone jack, the Libratone Q Adapt headphones can be connected wirelessly or wired (via lightning cable). Also, it can be controlled by tapping its ear cup. In addition to that, it has a noise-cancellation app in order to block out outside environment sounds.
The Libratone Q Adapt series comprises of two different sets:
- A wireless on-ear headphones that costs at around $290 (no official US price yet); and
- A wired in-ear headphones that can be connected with your Apple devices via Lightning cable and costs at around $210 (no official US price yet)
Libratone Q Adapt On-Ear Headphones
The Libratone Q Adapt On-Ear headphones is packed with two 40mm drivers that produces nice sound quality. It can be connected to your devices, phone, PC, and others via Bluetooth 4.1 thus reducing the hassle of listening to your music with a cable or wire bothering you around. It also has a built-in microphone that allows hands-free calls.
As mentioned, you can control the functionality of your headphones by tapping its ear cup. This on-ear headphones is designed with touch sensitive ear cup, meaning that you can simply tap or run your finger over its surface in order to control the volume, skip tracks, or even answer phone calls.
In terms of battery performance, the Q Adapt headphones can work for up to 20 hours. A good battery life if compared from other wireless on-ear headphones that are sold in the market today.
For the color options, this wireless headphones come in white, black, and pale pink.
Libratone Q Adapt In-Ear Headphones
The second set in the Libratone Q Adapt series is the Q Adapt In-Ear headphones or earbuds. Similar to its first set, this in-ear earbuds also have the touch controls. However, they can only work with the latest Apple devices because of its wired connectivity via a Lightning cable.
The in-ears earbuds are available in white, black, rose pink, as well as pale pink.
Both the On-Ear and In-Ear headphones in the Libratone Q Adapt series are integrated with the new noise-cancellation technology. With this feature, the headphones can reduce the sound or block the sound coming from the outside environment (such as voices of people, car horns, etc.). To make it work, simply install the noise-cancellation app, CityMix, to your Apple or Android devices.
The Libratone Q Adapt Headphones is expected to be shipped on mid-to-late October.
