Philips SB365/37 Wireless Portable Speaker Review – Performance
The Philips SB365-37 Wireless Bluetooth Portable Speaker supports high fidelity Bluetooth music streaming and packs a Bass Reflex Speaker System for superb sound performance.
Based from our testing, the Philips SB365-37 Wireless Bluetooth Portable Speaker has a very impressive sound quality. It was very rich in sound, detailed, clear, and balanced allowing music streaming to fill our entire mid-sized room. The bass response of this portable wireless speaker was great as well.
As we mentioned, it has a Bass Reflex Speaker System that enables the bass output to be powerful and deeper. Indeed, the bass response was strong enough to carry on with our bass intensive tracks. Although powerful, be aware to not use it at maximum volume level because minimal distortions can be present.
For the power supply, two options can be used. You can either use the Philips SB365-37 Wireless Bluetooth Portable Speaker via an AC power or via batteries. Take note only that if you prefer using it via batteries, you should know that this portable speaker does not have a built-in rechargeable battery and instead requires you to use 4 AA batteries. In our opinion, this is a hassle for us because we need to constantly replace its batteries to make it work or else we can use the AC power option which will affect the speaker’s portability.
Philips SB365/37 Wireless Portable Speaker Review – Design
We must say that this portable speaker’s design is minimal yet maintains its stylish, modern look. We love how simple the speaker grille is placed in front as well as how minimalistic the functions are placed.
The Philips SB365-37 Wireless Bluetooth Portable Speaker has a dimension 4.6 x 8.6 x 6.1 inches and has a weight of 1.4 pounds. For a portable speaker, this one seem to be big and quite heavy that is why if you are looking for a speaker you can bring outdoors or anywhere else, we suggest you looking for a much smaller portable speakers out there like the Philips SBT10 Mini Bluetooth Speaker, SoundPal Free Spirit 12, Jawbone Mini Jambox, or the UE Boom. If you stick with the Philips SB365-37, we would say that this one is ideal for bookshelves, table tops, or even your office desk.
Philips SB365/37 Wireless Portable Speaker Review – Connectivity
The Philips SB365-37 Wireless Bluetooth Portable Speaker supports three connectivity options, wireless connection through Bluetooth or NFC and wired connection through Aux/Audio input.
For the Bluetooth connection, the process of pairing our device was fast and easy. Since the Philips SB365-37 has a dedicated button for the Bluetooth pairing, all we just did was press it, look for its connection in our device’s Bluetooth setting, then pair it. It was as easy and simple as that.
The Philips SB365-37 also supports Near Field Communication (NFC) connection. This connection allows supported devices to easily tap it and pair automatically. While for the wired connection, if you prefer using this one, you just have to connect your music device using a 3.5mm Aux/Audio cable.
