We were really impressed with how the Sony SRS-X3 performs in terms of its sound. We really enjoyed streaming our favorite tracks with it.

The Sony SRS-X3 Portable NFC Bluetooth Wireless Speaker packs two 1.3-inch drivers and dual passive radiators. The speaker drivers produce 10-watts of power. These make the mini portable speaker to deliver sound quality at its optimum.

The sound being produced by this Sony speaker was really clear, crisp, and detailed making the treble and midrange to have decent quality. We also loved how the Sony SRS-X3 has a very loud sound in spite of having a small size. If you use it mid-sized rooms, you will really appreciate how loud the Sony SRS-X3 is. You should take note though that playing music at its maximum volume level will make the sound distorted so we suggest using it at an average volume level only.

Aside from clear, crisp, detailed, and loud sound, the Sony SRS-X3 Portable NFC Bluetooth Wireless Speaker also has an impressive bass response. For its size, this portable speaker packs a powerful or strong bass which is really enjoyable to use if you’re one who loves playing bass-intensive tracks.

In our test, we actually had it playing for up to 8 hours. That’s good already. You can recharge the Sony SRS-X3 via a standard micro-USB.

It’s because of its form, look, and feel.

The Sony SRS-X3 measures 7.4 x 2.5 x 2.5 inches and weighs 2.1 pounds thus making it very portable, easy to carry around anywhere, as well as very lightweight. Sony has given us three connectivity options for the Sony SRS-X3 Portable NFC Bluetooth Wireless Speaker. You can either use Bluetooth, NFC, or wired connection by using a 3.5mm audio cable.

There was no trouble getting our devices connected via these options. We really appreciate how Sony makes connecting our devices with their portable speaker an easy, hassle-free process. If you use Bluetooth, all you need to do is press its Bluetooth Pairing button, search, and pair with your device.

Take note of the range also because the Sony SRS-X3 connects via Bluetooth for up to 33 feet range. If you use the NFC “tap-to-pair” option, just an easy task as long as your device also supports it. By using the NFC, just tap your device on top of the Sony SRS-X3, then you’re good to go. Meanwhile, if you prefer using this Sony speaker via wired connection, you can use its Audio Input but you should provide your own 3.5mm audio cable though because it is not included in the package.

Lastly, Sony SRS-X3 Portable NFC Bluetooth Wireless Speaker also features speakerphone capability. With this, you can now do wireless and hands-free phone calls, at home, or at your office. The quality is great also because the sounds on both sides are very clear and optimized.
